Miranda, Charlotte, Carrie and Samantha: On sure footing ... There is a responsibility on "Sex and the City" that needs to be met. No one is asking that all four women find true love and eternal happiness. It may even be more real to let one go on living some fantasy (hello, Samantha) that won't take its final, ignominious twist until the onset of 50 -- and that allows viewers to plot a fate for her of their own choosing.
