built 653 days ago
Seroquel is an atypical or second generation antipsychotic. Used to treat psychotic disorders like schizophrenia, Seroquel is thought to work by blocking neurotransmitter sites of serotonin and dopamine, in addition to muscarinic and alpha-adrenergic and histamine receptors. Still, Seroquel has yet to be any more effective in treating the positive or negative symptoms than older antipsychotics.
