USFreightways employees established the 911 Armed Forces Scholarship Fund to provide scholarships specifically for the education of the children of Active Duty Armed Forces Personnel who were at the Pentagon, in Washington, DC, when they became September 11 victims. USFreightways partnered with IIE to provide administrative services.

Torches Across America 9/11 Memorial Motorcycle Ride is a coast to coast ride starting at Kennedy's Custom Cycles (Oceanside, California) on September 2nd, 2007. After few days of crossing the USA, visit Walter Reed Army Hospital on September 8, 2007. On September 9, 2007 join Rattle of Runway at the Pentagon, then ride to New York City.
