Senses Fail: New Jersey
built 650 days ago
Senses Fail Senses Fail consisted of vocalist Buddy Nielsen, guitarists Dave Miller and Garret Zablocki, bassist Mike Glita, and drummer Dan Trapp. Forming in 2002, SF's slick amalgam of posthardcore chuggery and emo heartbreak was in solidly line with the sound of other New Jersey groups like Saves the Day. Senses Fail quickly issued a debut EP through Boston indie ECA, and began to play out frequently while spreading the word with a thriving Internet presence.
Senses Fail continues to back "Still Searching," released last October on the Vagrant label. The album follows the band 2004 debut, "Let It Enfold You." The group recorded the new disc in May with producer Brian McTernan (Thrice, Cave In) behind the boards and new guitarist Heath Saraceno (formerly of Midtown) in the lineup, replacing founding member Dave Miller, who left the group last year.

fans For the band’s latest record Still Searching, Senses Fail hooked up with producer Brian McTernan... referred to as The Man within the industry. They made the short trek to Bearsville Studios located a mile from Woodstock, New York. The secluded and rumored haunted environment provided them with right atmosphere to make the next step in their career.
On July 18th 2007 Senses Fail announced via MySpace that they would be writing songs again over the summer. A deluxe version of Still Searching is due to be released on November 13, with new art, behind-the-scenes dvd featuring footage from the band's headlining tour last fall, four additional previously digital-only songs (Stretch Your Legs To Coffin Length, Cinco De Mayo are two of them), and two new songs 'Battel Hymn' and 'Champagne'[4].

Their main influences are Fairweather, Grade, The Promise Ring, The Get Up Kids, Thursday, Jawbreaker and Saves The Day. The band is influenced by many spiritual beliefs, which manifest themselves in their lyrics and musical themes.
Senses Fail gives the state of New Jersey another reason to be proud. The natives of Ridgewood, New Jersey have released their second full length studio album Still Searching, continuing on their path of hardcore/punk permeations that established them back in 2004 with their debut album Let It Enfold You [A]nd their 2003 EP From The Depths Of Dreams. Still Searching, produced by Brian McTernan (Circa Survive, Thrice, Moneen), sets the quintet up on the same tier as Avenged Sevenfold, Silverstein, and Killswitch Engage.
