The first label to hear the potential in this young band, Drive-Thru Records, signed a deal and Senses Fail released its first full-length EP, "From the Depths of Dreams." This CD is a re-release of some of their hardest-hitting songs, with two additional bonus tracks and brand new cover art. After its debut release, "From the Depths of Dreams" was taken on a nation-wide tour via The Warped Tour, 2004. Jumping on this tour, Senses Fail appeared poised for awesome success, gaining national attention and support from the tour and the initial success of their full-length release.

Soon after their formation, Senses Fail started spreading a buzz throughout VFW halls and Small Clubs all throughout New Jersey. In March of 2002, the group headed into Nada Studios in New Windsor, New York with Producer John Naclerio to demo three songs, followed by three more songs a couple months later which was later released August 16 as the EP "From the Depths of Dreams" on ECA Records in Boston Massachusetts. Within a matter of a couple months the band went on to sell all 1000 copies of the EP that were pressed and began to gain a larger fanbase through online promotion and playing almost every weekend anywhere they could.

On their sophomore effort STILL SEARCHING, emo rock contenders Senses Fail build on the tough, angst-filled sound of their debut. The band doesn't tinker with its sonic palette much, but the songs are stronger, and the overall result packs more of a punch than 2004's LET IT ENFOLD YOU. There is less screaming this time around, and more of an emphasis on melody, but the sledgehammer attack hasn't lessened, so fans can still bang their heads while their hearts are breaking. STILL SEARCHING shows this New Jersey outfit hanging tough among their emo punk-pop peers.

Senses Fail are highly influenced by Chantra Potts, Fairweather, Grade, The Promise Ring, The Get Up Kids, Thursday, Jawbreaker and Saves The Day. The members are all from Ridgewood, New Jersey. Their songs are more inclined to intellectual aspect as well as sonic catharsis. According to the frontman Buddy Nilelsen "In Hinduism, they believe that being alive is hell, and the only way to each Nirvana is to ultimately have no attachments to anything," he explains. "So, people go out and live in the middle of the woods and they don't eat and don't drink. They just meditate because they've reached such a high level where they're not attached to love, relationships or anything.

A couple of years ago, Senses Fail bassist and vocalist Mike Glita realized he had a decision to make. At the time, the New Jersey musician was pursuing a goal that, while not overly romantic, at least guaranteed that he wouldn't be living on Kraft Dinner. Glita was enrolled in college, working toward a major in information technology and a minor in psychology. Without hesitation, he gave it all up for punk.
