Adding the screenname Bobby1234 to the Linked Screen Names list of Jimmy6789 modifies the SSI of both screennames. In other words, linking screenname A to screenname B appears to be exactly the same as linking screenname B to screenname A.

All your linked Screen Names are shown at the bottom of your Buddy List window. The Screen Name of the Buddy List you're currently using is shown at the top of the Buddy List window and stays there until you click on another linked Screen Name.

At the top of your Buddy List window, you will notice all the screen names you've linked. To switch to a different screen name, simply click it. The Buddy List for that screen name will instantly pop up.
