Albert Schweitzer was a humanitarian, theologian, organist, and medical doctor. A Renaissance man, Schweitzer was a medical missionary in Africa, where he founded a hospital in French Equatorial Africa while writing major treatises on theological, musical, and philosophical issues. He was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1952 for his work.

Albert Schweitzer (1875-1965) was an Alsatian-German religious philosopher, musicologist, and medical missionary in Africa. He was known especially for founding the Schweitzer Hospital, which provided unprecedented medical care for the natives of Lambaréné in Gabon.

In addition to a slew of supporting roles on film during the 1980s, Albert worked on the popular TV drama series Falcon Crest, thirtysomething, and General Hospital. The 1990 television movie Return to Green Acres reunited Albert with his former cast members.
