[D]uring March the VH1 Save The Music Foundation acknowledges its response to Hurricane Katrina victims by donating more than $300,000 worth of new musical instruments to impacted schools throughout the Gulf Coast region. With the help of music manufacturers including Conn-Selmer, EM Winston, Meisel Stringed Instruments and Yamaha, The Foundation provided special grants -- the equivalent of 13 school music programs -- in Gulf coast states including Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama.

FAIRVIEW, Ore., June 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Three schools in the Reynolds School District participated in "Move It!," a walking challenge sponsored by Regence BlueCross BlueShield of Oregon. Fourth and fifth-graders teamed up to walk for their health and earn prize money to benefit their schools' health and fitness programs. Physical education specialists integrated the program into their curriculum and distributed a "Move It!" backpack, water bottle and pedometer to their participating students at Fairview, Salish Ponds and Woodland Elementary.

Byster will hold his presentation on Tuesday, Jan. 15 at the Atlanta International School at 10 a.m., in addition to 6 other area schools over the course of three days. Each presentation will last about an hour. Byster has spent the last decade developing the Brainetics program while giving more than 5,000 volunteer presentations in schools across the country.
