Strong community participation allowed the construction costs of Otterson Hall to be privately funded by Rady School supporters, including Ernest Rady and the Rady Family Foundation, whose $30 million contribution represents the second largest philanthropic gift in the university's history. UC San Diego named the Rady School of Management in recognition of this leadership support through "The Campaign for UCSD," the university's comprehensive fundraising initiative. UC San Diego contributed funds for infrastructure and planning expenses. The total cost of the building was approximately $43 million.

The School of Computer Science, Telecommunications and Information Systems (CTI) offers the largest IT program in the country, with 16 graduate degrees, including eight online degrees. CTI provides a comprehensive program of technology education for students who seek graduate and undergraduate degrees or professional training. Additionally, the school has been recognized as a National Center of Academic Excellence in Information Assurance. CTI's size allows the school to offer a wide range of practical and cutting-edge programs, and to respond to market demand for new technology skills. DePaul was one of the first universities in the country to combine the teaching of computer science and telecommunications.

Goochland County Public Schools has been recognized alongside 18 other school divisions by the Virginia Department of Education with its VIP Excellence Award. Divisions qualifying for this recognition met all state and federal accountability benchmarks for at least two consecutive years, making significant progress towards the governor’s goals for increased student achievement.

IC Corporation will be integrating the tracking components into its 2006 school bus models. Telematics, the remote tracking of vehicles, provides real-time information on the location and performance of vehicles. IC Corporation's parent company has developed a telematics solution called International(R) Aware(TM) Vehicle Intelligence that is fully integrated with the electronics components of the company's buses so all of the important functions can be remotely monitored.

Year 7/8 and Year 9/10 Statewide Competition is run in Term 4 every year and is open to every secondary school in Victoria. In 2006 there were 268 schools and601 teams (342 boys and 259 girls) involved. more
