Scat is a dedicated member of the local Hip Hop community. A very giving person, who goes out of his way to help other emcees. Developing good relationships with peers is essential for the community to grow. Genesee County, most notably Flint, MI, has a massive Hip Hop scene. With local radio stations specializing in Michigan Hip Hop/Rap & other various formats. There is tons of exposure here for local artists.

The Scat is a large, circular fish with a compressed body. The fish varies from green to yellow in color, with several dark spots all over. The lateral line is high and arched. The Scat has poisonous spines that should be handled with respect.

Scat singing influenced the development of doo-wop and hip hop. It has ... appeared in various genres of rock music. Jim Morrison of The Doors sings a chorus of slow scat on the song "Cars Hiss By My Window",trying to replicate a harmonica solo he had heard and it also notably opens the b-side of Joe Walsh's 1973 album The Smoker You Drink, The Player You Get with the song "Meadow". The technique was employed in the song "Wish You Were Here" by Pink Floyd.

Writer and critic Leonard Feather offers an extreme view: he once said that "scat singing—with only a couple exceptions—should be banned."[16] Many of the finest jazz singers, including Bessie Smith, Billie Holiday, Jimmy Rushing, and Dinah Washington, have avoided scat entirely.[26] Jazz singers Sarah Vaughan, Betty Carter, and Anita O’Day are at times cited as examples of vocalists who should have avoided scat singing.[26]
