Satan was there when God created the first humans, and lavished goodness upon them, and clearly explained the purpose of their existence (to follow him in the context of a personal love-trust relationship). Satan seduced them into following his revolt by declaring that God was suppressing them and by suggesting that self-rule, self-deification is the key to human fulfillment. But the result was not a leap upward; it was a fall downward, breaking the good world God gave them, separating them from God and bringing them under bondage to the one they chose to obey.

Mr. Satan appears in Dragon Ball Z: The Legacy of Goku II as a secret character. In Dragon Ball Z: Budokai, Mr. Satan is the only other human besides Kuririn to have a "transformation" (Hi Tension),he ... appears as a background character in Super Dragon Ball Z in the cell games stage. In most of the video games, he flies around using what looks to be a "Capsule Corp." jetpack. In the video games, the jetpack is the reason that Mr. Satan is able fly and run like everybody else. He is considered a joke character, especially due to his ridiculous (yet effective) special skill moves in the games.

Eventually, Satan developed a plan that he must have felt would deliver to him the position he believed should have rightfully been his in the beginning. He decided to deceive the humans in the Garden into disobeying God's direct command. After having proven mankind unworthy of the rulership position God had placed them in, Satan, in his arrogant pride, must have thought God would see that he should be given authority over the world in their place.

The unbeliever is made blind to gospel information by being distracted by Satan and by exercising negative volition toward the Word of God. While Satan does not force anyone to be lost, he uses every means to steer the unbeliever away from the truth. His ultimate weapons in this are religion and humanism.
