Satan: Hebrew Bible

Satan will raise all sorts of distractions, e.g., telephone calls, things you need to catch up on, etc. This is another of his tactics. When someone first starts studying the Bible, all sorts of little distractions suddenly start to show up. Many of them are legitimate, just not terribly important. This is another reason why early-morning Bible study is recommended.

The bible is very clear as to where Satan came from. His evil nature started before the garden of Eden and is more rampant today for he knows his time is short.(Rev.20:1-3) As stated below in Isaiah 14:12, his name was Lucifer. He was the highest of the archangels and as Ezekiel 28:12 states, he was Gods main one. Read the scriptures below. The word Satan comes from Hebrew and means adversary. Satan is the adversary of anybody that tries to follow the true God. Since the creation of man Satan has tried to deceive humanity into disobeying God and doing what is wrong. He deceived Eve in the Garden of Eden by telling her that she would not die, but she would be like God if she ate of the forbidden fruit. Of course, Satan lied to her. She died, and so have all of her descendants.
Satanists use the symbol of Satan as a representative of various philosophical ideas, social instincts, intellectual ideals and theological statements. Here is an introduction to all of these aspects of Satan. The best way to get an understanding of Satan is to read The Satanic Bible by Anton LaVey and "The Satanic Scriptures" by Peter Gilmore.
