Sarah Miles' 2001 - A Family Odyssey Ophelia's Version is a poetic experimental film exploring the hidden systemic powers of identification within a family constellation through four generations. Ancestors haunt the landscape like screen memories and family members collaborate to perform aspects of themselves. A collage of family album; the filmmaker's father's photographic archive; Hollywood narratives including Apocalypse Now, Badlands and Breakfast at Tiffany's reflect a complex layering of narratives.

In a sensational show, Sarah Miles presents the story of her life. Always determined to put her private life before her career, her two marriages to playwright Robert Bolt come high on her list of achievements. As an actress, she has been acclaimed for her roles on stage at the National Theatre, in the West End and in America, and starred in great movies like Joseph Losey’s The Servant and David Lean’s Ryan’s Daughter. Now, live on stage, in an amazing piece of first person theatre, Sarah Miles puts her life on the line.
The wonderful Sarah Miles will be visiting Dingle as a special guest to The Dingle Film Festival. Sarah will be part of an evening being programmed in Ionad An Blaschaoid Mhoir. The evening will involve a panel discussion with Sarah Miles and locals who worked on David Lean's Ryan's Daughter back in 1968/69. Godfrey Graham will ... be in attendance with a documentary he shot in 1969 entitled "On Location" for RTE. The festival are thrilled to have Sarah Miles attend the festival and the evening in The Blasket Centre will make for a very special event. There will be a reception and music.
