One of the fantastic things about the character of Sarah Connor is her weakness. She is not a born leader, in her own words she states she is the sort of person who can barely balance her chequebook (checkbook US). She cries, she hides and is 'normal' reacting in ways that a regular woman would react given her situation, she's scared and vulnerable and it is these traits that add to the overall character giving her many facets as opposed to a one dimensional meathead.

German pop singer and multi-instrumentalist Sarah Connor grew up listening to soul music, mostly influenced by her grandfather who was born in New Orleans. A church chorus became her first experience in the gospel music field at a very young age. After participating in different musicals while still attending middle school, Sarah Connor started sending demos to different record labels. The opportunity to achieve her goal came when rhythm & blues and urban producer TQ answered to one of them. In 2001, their catchy debut single, "Let's Get Back to Bed...Boys," became a chart-topping song in Germany. The powerful ballad "From Sarah With Love" followed in 2002.

After three albums and official pop stardom in her native Germany, Sarah Connor planned a U.S. takeover with this domestic-specific effort. Sarah Connor culls material from her European output, focusing principally on past hit singles. The singsongy flow and Connor's own Christina Aguilera-ish sass are pretty irresistible on "Bounce," which does exactly that, relentlessly. Of course, it helps itself to the disco bump rhythm track from Mary J. Blige's "Family Affair," so it would be difficult for "Bounce" not to succeed. The rest of Sarah Connor proves as recycle-happy as its lead single, but it's ... well-crafted and steamy. The slinky "French Kissing" cops the piano break from Blackstreet's "No Diggity"; "Let's Get Back to Bed - Boy!" is assembled Europop, right down to its digitized vocal and mindless lovey-dovey lyrics easily translatable to dancefloors the world over.
