For 25-year Santa Fe resident Janet Asher, matching clients with homes is as much an adventure as her endeavors as a river guide, a teacher, a small business owner and a parent. After completing a Bachelor's degree in Art, Education and Dance from the University of Denver, she obtained certification to teach Montessori school. She moved to Santa Fe and began her 13-year teaching career. Here she started a family and began to explore and fall in love with New Mexico's stunning wilderness. Janet's love for the outdoors led her to the river, where since 1992 she and her husband, Jon, have guided rafting and overnight trips for visitors, families, and school groups.

López drew, in 1818, a provincial constitution of a strongly conservative flavour, after rejecting a project proposed by a provincial assembly; Santa Fe was the first province to have its constitution. During the civil strifes of 1820, Santa Fe troops were decisive in the defeat of Buenos Aires' centralist army. So, in time, López gradually became the Federation's Patriarch, establishing himself as the central figure of the Federal Party until his death in 1838.

Santa Fe's adobe-lined streets, many still made of desert dirt, teem with arts and culture. Celebrated across the globe, the city's sophisticated galleries and museums exhibit the work of painters, sculptors, jewelers, photographers and other world-renowned and emerging artists. Santa Fe's fame reaches so far, in fact, that the city's art market ranks second in the U.S. only to New York City.

Santa Fe is different! They’ve priced out all the locals, the property taxes are high and a decent taco costs $4! Nevermind flan or sopapillas for desert cause if you have to ask, you can’t….well, you know the rest. But you do get to shop at the ubiquitous “art” galleries that exist on every corner. Nothing like paying $300 bucks for a “native american” artist’s jug or vase.

The ports between Rosario and San Lorenzo are departure points for the export of the production of the Santa Fe and many other provinces; through them leave 65% of the Argentine cereal and 55% of the country's exports. In 2004, Santa Fe's exports (7,170 million USD) accounted for 21% of the national total. Between 2001 and 2004 they increased 65.2%. Derivates of soybean, flours and vegetable oils comprised about 2,000 million USD and over 7.6 million tonnes. [1] In 2005 the ports of southern Santa Fe shipped 60% of the grains, 93% of the agricultural subproducts and 85% of the vegetable oils exported by Argentina. [2]
