Santa Claus: North Pole
built 647 days ago
Teh Santa Cat noes waht joo want 4 xmas!!!1! (one of those God-awful lolcat pics) Santa (or, Karl Marx) married his wife Messalina Claus (née Davenport-Southersby) in 1935. Though their relationship is depicted in public as a joyous, loving marriage between two jolly old people, there has been considerable evidence to support dissident claims that their union is a mere political arrangement. Messalina’s mother is the Viscountess of Antarctica, and the marital union has guaranteed Santa access to countless resources, as well as safe haven from attack, should Santa find himself unable to return to the North Pole. In return, Messalina has received considerable power and prestige, and she has been afforded every luxury and vast political powers exceeded only by those of Santa and Krampus.
Santa Claus lives with his helpers, the elves, at Korvatunturi. However, a long time ago he decided to meet and be with people at other times of the year. Consequently, after many surveys, with the help of his good friends, he decided to build his own village close to the town of Rovaniemi, at the point where the highway north crosses the magical Arctic Circle.
DFW's SantaTracker website (www.dfwairport.com/santatracker) will once again monitor Santa Claus and his reindeer as they make their whirlwind trip around the world, stopping briefly at DFW while in North Texas. On Christmas Eve, DFW will continue its holiday tradition of providing families an opportunity to check on Santa's trip to North Texas, providing telephone updates at (972) 586-NOEL beginning on December 23 and going through midnight on Christmas Eve.

It is now believed that Santa Claus lives at the North Pole with his wife, a crew of industrious elves, and a stable of magical, flying reindeer. While most of his year is likely spent making toys and tallying the "naughty" and "nice" acts of hundreds of millions of individual children, on the night of December 24 Santa visits the houses of all good boys and girls on the planet to deliver gifts. Though famous for his alleged ability to enter and exit houses quickly and silently through chimneys, he has proved himself equally adept at accessing more modern households and apartments, which may not have open fireplaces. ~ T.J. Denise Graham Zahn has written a book to update the 20th century "one-Santa Claus-with-helpers" tradition to a new multicultural Santa Claus family tradition for the 21st Century. Her book is called "The Legend of the Twenty-First North Pole Santa." Read reviews or order this book safely from Amazon.com online book store
Picture: North American Santa Children naturally wanted to know where Santa Claus actually came from. Where did he live when he wasn't delivering presents? Those questions gave rise to the legend that Santa Claus lived at the North Pole, where his Christmas-gift workshop was ... located.
