Santa Claus: North Pole
built 127 days ago
Santa Claus’ Office is right near the Arctic Circle in Finnish Lapland. The Arctic Circle is an imaginary line above which the sun never sets in summer for at least one night of the year. This is offset by the winter darkness known as kaamos, when the Northern Lights dancing in the sky are most brilliant of all.
Santa Claus desired to have an international airport close to his village, where visitors from all corners of the globe would easily be able to come and visit him. He ... wished to have a town nearby, in order that visitors would be able to stay and safely witness the northern way of life and nature with experienced guides. All these requirements have been fulfilled at the present location in Rovaniemi, at the Arctic Circle.
The Santa Claus Lane store, like many of the other 3,900 U.S. Blockbuster Video stores around the world, will be open on Christmas Day. As for movie selections, Santa or anyone else in North Pole can now find everything from holiday classics to the latest releases, including "My Best Friend's Wedding," "Air Bud" and "Annabelle's Wish" at the new store before, during and after the holiday.
Jimmy is convinced that Santa Claus does not exist. To prove his theory, he travels to the North Pole with Carl and Sheen where they discover a remote toy factory. When Jimmy's homing device malfunctions, it emits a blast of energy that hits the source of the signal -- Santa Claus. With the big guy's atoms temporarily scrambled, who can deliver the presents? Jimmy must now put his doubts aside, load up the hypercube, and try to save Christmas before the people of Retroville have to settle for a new holiday -- "Pule Day". Featured Guest Star: Mel Brooks as Santa.
Unfortunately, because Santa Claus has brainwashed so many people into believing that he is a good honest person, this stance will be a difficult one to take. In reality, Santa Claus is a prejudice pedophile, bent on world domination. He sets a bad example the world over and promotes consumerism, communism, and obesity. Not only that, but his treatment of Mrs. Claus is atrocious. That the feminist movement has never taken this issue up to the North Pole, in itself, is a startling realization that the American people are extremely ignorant upon this important subject.
The American image of Santa Claus was further elaborated by illustrator Thomas Nast, who depicted a rotund Santa for Christmas issues of Harper's magazine from the 1860s to the 1880s. Nast added such details as Santa's workshop at the North Pole and Santa's list of the good and bad children of the world. A human-sized version of Santa Claus, rather than the elf of Moore's poem, was depicted in a series of illustrations for Coca-Cola advertisements introduced in 1931. In modern versions of the Santa Claus legend, only his toy-shop workers are elves. Rudolph, the ninth reindeer, with a red and shiny nose, was invented in 1939 by an advertising writer for the Montgomery Ward Company.
