What makes this even more precious is that each year children compete for the unique magical honor of designing the actual postmark Santa Claus will use that holiday season. This chosen postmark is then available only between December 1st and December 24th, and after which is retired into the "holiday hall of fame" making it's way into stamp collections throughout the world.
In addition many educational institutes from pre-school to the university work in co-operation with Santa Claus himself. The Rovaniemi Polytechnic has an official Santa Claus school, where the graduates become Santa’s assistants and master of ceremonies. In some resort areas you can even find elf schools for children.
"Scrooge's second Visitor", a colorized version of the original illustration by John Leech made for Charles Dickens's novel A Christmas Carol (1843) There has long been opposition to teaching children to believe in Santa Claus. Some Christians say the Santa tradition detracts from the religious origins and purpose of Christmas. Other critics feel that Santa Claus is an elaborate lie, and that it is unethical for parents to teach their children to believe in his existence.[6] Still others oppose Santa Claus as a symbol of the commercialization of the Christmas holiday, or as an intrusion upon their own national traditions.[7]
Millions of young children will anxiously climb into the loving lap of their Santa Claus. They’ll whisper in his ear their little hearts desire. They’ll quickly wake up Christmas morning with eyes shimmering at their gifts wonderful Santa gave them.
"As a parent, there is something truly magical about seeing my children experience Santa Claus," said MakeBeliever co-founder David Wallace. "Picture your child's surprise when Santa greets her by name, knows how old she is and knows what she wants for Christmas. MakeBeliever makes that happen and creates a special Christmas moment for both parent and child."
Director Rene Cardona's SANTA CLAUS remains the devil's most famous Mexican film vehicle. The infamous K. Gordon Murray imported this unique children's opus for holiday releases and it made the Florida entrepreneur a mint over the years. Love it or hate it, you'll never forget it!
