Lyle and Scott launched their first Golf ranged inspired by the American Golfer Doug Sanders' love of bright colour schemes. The company commissioned their own motif for the range - the now famous golden Eagle, a symbol of Scotland and excellence and with strong Golf connotations. The choice of motif could not have been better and was immediately registered as a trade mark.
