Stand Up Comedy & Comedians Sandi Toksvig is a comedian and radio presenter famous in the United Kingdom. She was once part of The Comedy Store Players, a British improvisational comedy team which performs at The Comedy Store.

Following a first-class degree from Cambridge, Sandi Toksvig went into the theatre, where she both wrote and performed before becoming one of the founder members of the Comedy Store Players. She is well known for her television and radio work, as a presenter, writer and actor. She has written four books for children including Unusual Day, published by Young Corgi in 1996.
Sandi Toksvig stole the show as eccentric landlady Ethel Davis. Among her lodgers were perpetual 80's fashion victim Harry, roller-skating ginge Dawn, scouse artist Neil Buchanan and future Eurovision hopeful Kim Goody. The gang were joined each week by passing celebrities, and top bands who popped in to rehearse in the cellar. Cartoons such as Roger Ramjet and Trap Door were projected onto the kitchen window, and each show culminated in the utterly unique Sandwich Quiz.

Sandi Toksvig was born in Copenhagen, Denmark. As the daughter of Danish Television's first foreign correspondent, she grew up all over the world in including New York and various parts of Africa. Sandi took her degree at Girton College, Cambridge and went on to become a broadcaster and writer like her father. Sandi has written twelve books which range from children's fiction to adult, from travel writing to short stories. She is well known on both television and radio and currently hosts her own shows on both LBC (London Broadcasting Corporation) radio and Radio 4. Her latest novel, due out next year, is set during the occupation of Denmark in the Second World War.

Sandi Toksvig was born on 3 May 1958 in Copenhagen. A comedian, broadcaster and author, she wrote and performed the first all-woman show at the Cambridge Footlights, while studying Law and Anthropology at Girton College. The presenter of Radio 4's Excess Baggage and the chair of The News Quiz, she has written fiction and non-fiction books for children and adults.
