1. Doug Sanders
   Doug Sanders (born July 24, 1933) is an American professional golfer, who won 20 PGA Tour tournaments during his career. He was born in Cedartown, Georgia and currently resides in Houston, Texas. He is remembered for an exceptionally short, flat golf swing - a consequence, it appears, of a painful neck condition that radically restricted his movements. 2. George Sanders
   Throughout much of his screen career, actor "George Sanders" was the very personification of cynicism, an elegantly dissolute figure whose distinct brand of anomie distinguished dozens of films during a career spanning nearly four decades. Born in St. Petersburg on July 3, 1906, Sanders and his family fled to the U.K. during the Revolution, and he was later educated at Brighton College. After first pursuing a career in the textile industry, Sanders briefly flirted with a South American tobacco venture; when it failed, he returned to Britain with seemingly no other options outside of a stage career. After a series of small theatrical roles, in 1934 he appeared in Noel Coward's Conversation Piece; the performance led to his film debut in 1936's "Find the Lady", followed by a starring role in "Strange Cargo".
3. Doug Sanders -- Jack Nicklaus
   In the final of the 1966 Championship, three players are in contention for the title towards the end of the Championship; Dave Thomas, Doug Sanders and Jack Nicklaus. Dave Thomas is the first to tackle the 17th hole, a long par five. Thomas and Sanders both take pars at the 17th, so Nicklaus requires two fours to win.
4. Doug Sanders -- North Carolina
   Among the many things Doug Sanders introduced to North Carolina vegetable production are drip irrigation, plasticulture and precision seeding. Sanders expertise stretched well beyond North Carolina, and he brought expertise that convinced growers to try new crops like asparagus, broccoli, sweet onions and leaf lettuce.
5. George Sanders -- Professional Cad
   George Sanders was the smoothest of villains; a cool, dangerous cad who could outsneer Basil Rathbone and outpurr Vincent Price. He deployed irresistible charm with an edge of menace, qualified by a disconcerting sense of languid indifference. Given the quality of many of his films, this feeling of ennui was often justified.
6. Tom Conway -- George Sanders
   Tom Conway was the Falcon in ten of that series' entries. He starred in three Val Lewton horror classics. He appeared in comedies, musicals, two Tarzan films, and even science fiction films. He was early television's Detective Mark Saber but Tom Conway will probably be remembered as George Sanders' brother. Born into a wealthy family in pre-Bolshevik Revolution Russia, Thomas Charles Sanders might have followed his father as a rope manufacturer and inherited several estates. Had the family not been forced to flee to England, the brothers Sanders might never have added their names to the Hollywood saga.
7. Doug Sanders -- North America
   Sanders’ imagination provided the spark for her books. She wrote Clover in 1990 after seeing two funeral processions pass by one day while working at her peach stand on her family’s farm. The young African-American girl who waved to her became Clover, the lead character in the novel. A white woman sitting in a car, crying into her handkerchief, became the basis for Clover’s white stepmother, Sara Kate (Sanders, 2006). The book won the Lillian Smith award, presented annually to significant Southern writers, and has been translated into a number of languages (Starr, 2003). In 1997, the film version of her best-selling novel was aired on the USA cable television network as a two-hour movie (Nye, 1997).
8. Doug Sanders -- World
   Along the way, Sanders beat Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer and Tom Weiskopf in various playoffs. He won back-to-back tournaments in four different years. When Captain Ben Hogan tartly introduced the American side at the 1967 Ryder Cup ("Ladies and gentlemen . . . the finest golfers in the world), Sanders was among them.
