Two University of San Diego baseball players have been named preseason All-American's by Baseball America. Junior left-hander Brian Matusz was named first-team All-American, while Josh Romanski was named Second Team All-American. Matusz, who was ... selected to the preseason Brooks Wallace Award Watch list earlier this season, return for his junior campaign after putting together a stellar sophomore season on the mound for the Toreros. He finished his sophomore season with an overall record of 10-3 and an ERA of 2.85. Matusz set a new single-season strikeout record of 163. The Cave Creek, Ariz., native also placed himself second in single-game strikeouts with a career-high 13, a feat he has achieved three times this past season.
