Sometimes one will hear of an "Evil God" named "Samhain", but such a deity never existed anywhere in Celtic lands or Europe for that matter. It was a literary fiction masquerading as scholarship from the early nineteenth century. Fables of Druids leaving "Jack-o-lanterns" at the homes of families who have helped procure a sacrifice for "Samhain" (or Satan) are likewise scurrilous at best.

This is a strange comment, because they must have been aware that there is no mention in the historical record of a major Celtic God called Samhain. Thus is it most improbable that Samhain would be the chief Druidic deity, and have gone so long undetected.

Viel said via e-mail that Velocity will be releasing Samhain in October, retitled Evil Breed: The Legend of Samhain. It will definitely be interesting to see if that DVD is a truly finished product. Assuming, of course, it actually hits shelves, and avoids becoming just another gruesome chapter in the real legend of Samhain.
