Starting Sunday, Oct. 21, and continuing every Sunday until the end of the year, the plane will land in El Salvador, remaining on the ground to refuel and board new passengers. At 5:55 p.m. of the same day, the plane will take off for Milan on a direct non-stop flight. Arrival time in Malpensa will be 12:10 p.m. local time on the following day.

This is the third international route offered by TAM from Salvador. The company already operates a weekly flight between Salvador and Miami (USA), with arrivals and departures on Sundays. It ... operates a daily route to Buenos Aires (Argentina), with a stopover at Guarulhos International Airport in Sao Paulo. The flight from Salvador to Buenos Aires was launched at the end of March to ease passenger traffic on this route, eliminating the need for connecting flights.

From December 1, TAM will begin operating two flights leaving Congonhas for Salvador. Flight JJ 3602 will leave at 11:45 a.m.* and arrive in Salvador at 2:05 p.m.*, Monday through Friday. Flight JJ 3600 will takeoff from Congonhas daily at 10:10 p.m.*, landing in Salvador at 12:25 a.m.* The return from Salvador to Congonhas will be by flights JJ 3601 (daily) and JJ 3603 (Monday through Friday), leaving at 6:05 a.m.* and 3:00 p.m.*, respectively.
