AKURZA™ 6% Salicylic Acid works by causing the skin to swell, soften and then peel in areas where applied. The preferable method of use is to apply Akurza™ thoroughly to the affected area and to cover the treated area at night after washing and before retiring. The Salicylic Acid used for skin treatments is actually a higher concentration than would be found in nature.
