Saboteur screenshot The gameplay in Saboteur will be set up in a manner similar to other sandbox titles like Grand Theft Auto or Saints Row. Sean will be able to choose to accept one of various missions to progress. While story missions are self explanatory, free play missions will give Sean access to new weapons or areas to facilitate gameplay in story missions. Sean will ... be able to use any weapon, vehicle, or outfit that he sees in the game. This means that the player can steal weapons and outfits from defeated foes and use them to their own advantage, allowing a stealthy player to knock out a Nazi foe and steal their outfit to blend in with the remaining Nazis. That its, of course, only if the suit is intact.

Saboteur Set against the dramatic backdrop of occupied France and based on a true story, Saboteur is the personal tale of one man’s fight to find and kill the Nazi thugs who murdered his friends. Saboteur’s open world environment and stealth-action gameplay are specifically designed to take full advantage of next-generation console technology. Players take on the Third Reich in a fully interactive, open world with both story-driven missions and side quests using an arsenal of weapons and abilities that allow quiet movement and lethal efficiency. Any weapon, costume, or item can be manipulated—including military and civilian vehicles. Players can ... scale buildings and move unseen across rooftops, or eliminate guards with a range of authentic weapons (or sometimes with bare hands).
The Saboteur has an energy bar which is depleted by falling too far, crouching under water or being attacked. He can replenish this by standing still and resting if he finds a safe area. If his energy bar is completely depleted or if time runs out then it is game over.
Screenshot 'Though bearing some initial resemblance to Impossible Mission, Saboteur holds a lot more upon further inspection. The game is absolutely great, it's like playing a part in a Bond movie. Maybe this is the sort of game that should have been used by Domark. Level one is quite easily solved, given a bit of time and thought, but there are nine different levels each subtly harder than the last. The animation of the man is great and he's very responsive indeed. Overall a this deserves to be a hit and should have pride of place on many a Spectrum users shelf.'
Saboteur's work with poisons, although not as often as with smokepowder. Scro Saboteurs main targets when working with poison are food and water stockpiles, ventilation ducts in military bases, and in spelljammers. Although poison is much more common compared to smokepowder, the DM is advised not to be overly generous to low level Saboteurs.

Presented in full frame (1.33:1) black and white, "Saboteur" is given a decent transfer for the DVD. There are some pretty obvious digital artifacts that show up as grain in the brighter spots of the frame, which can be annoying when that happens to be an actor’s face. As expected for a film that’s almost sixty-years-old, there are some noticeable blemishes and scratches on the print. The black level is fairly well-produced, but I couldn’t help but feel the transfer was missing the clarity and sharpness that many black and white DVD’s have been able to succeed at. While I don’t think this transfer is one that will infuriate you to the point that you won’t enjoy the film, you may indeed find yourself wishing it could have been redone and improved.
