Since the first release in 1996, Sable Ridge wines have been creative expressions of hand crafted wines from select vineyards. Rich and balanced Zinfandels from old vines have become staples in the Sable Ridge line up. The discovery of great Lodi vineyards and the delicious and elegant wines made from this area's plantings has led to regular bottlings of Sable Ridge reds from the region. Sable Island is a narrow crescent-shaped sandbar with a surface area of about 34 km². Despite being nearly 42 km long, it is no more than 2 km across at its widest point. It emerges from vast shoals and shallows on the continental shelf which, in tandem with the area's frequent fog and sudden strong storms including hurricanes and northeasters, have caused over 350 recorded shipwrecks. [1] It is often referred to as the Graveyard of the Atlantic, as it sits astride the great circle route from North America's east coast to Europe. The nearest landfall is 160 kilometres to the northwest near Canso, Nova Scotia.

Sable did have her surgery and is doing great. She had her follow this past Monday and the orthopedist says she is right where she should be, just starting to put weight on that leg.

Years ago, Silver Sable's father, working in conjunction with the government of Symkaria, created the Wild Pack, a group of professional soldiers whose job it was to hunt down Nazi war criminals. At about the same time his wife was giving birth to their daughter Silver. Years later, the girl watched her mother die in her arms, the victim of a terrorist attack. Sable trained her entire life, becoming a master of a wide variety of weapons. She trained in all forms of hand-to-hand combat in preparation for the day she would inherit leadership of the Wild Pack. Over the years, as the number of former Nazis dwindled.

The second-generation Sable ran from 1992-'95 and could perhaps be considered the pinnacle for this car. An evolution of the original, its lower-profile nose and slightly crisper lines tastefully updated the car, while hardware improvements included new safety features such as antilock brakes and a passenger side airbag. Sable sedans and wagons came with either a 3.0-liter V6 or 3.8-liter V6. Horsepower was the same at 140, but the larger engine provided more torque. A four-speed automatic was the only available transmission.

Sable Ridge was founded by Chuck Barr and Mary Ann Costello. The two wine lovers, whose attraction to Sonoma Valley was cultivated by numerous visits over fifteen years, would eventually leave behind the corporate life. Like so many others, they held a longing not merely to live in the wine country, but to be part of the wine country lifestyle by taking the ultimate plunge: opening their own winery. They decided they would pursue their passion by first working at wineries and taking classes in the ways of winemaking and viticulture.
