1. Ryder Cup Ticket -- Events
   The Ryder cup is a prestigious tournament that originated back in 1927. It originally pitted the best players from the United States against the best that Britain had to offer. It has now expanded so the British team includes players from throughout Europe. It is essentially a bragging rights match that takes place every two years. While the sight of the tournament changes every two years from one side of the Atlantic to the other, the U.S. has consistently won the event. It has captured 25 of the possible 33 Ryder Cup Crowns.

3. Hal Sutton -- Ryder Cup
   Hal Sutton hasn’t played much golf since captaining the 2004 U.S. Ryder Cup team. The one that was spanked by the Europeans, 18½-9½, at Oakland Hills. Sutton took heat for the outcome and for some of his pairings, especially putting together Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson.
4. Ryder Cup Ticket -- Americans
   The 2008 Ryder Cup will be the 37th annual competition and it will be Valhalla Golf Club’s first time hosting the historic event in Louisville, Kentucky. Valhalla has been the home of the 1996 and 2002 PGA Championships, as well as the 2004 PGA Senior Championship. Scheduled for September 19-21, 2008, in the next chapter in Ryder Cup history promises to be an exciting one. For many years the Americans dominated the Ryder Cup, but recently they have lost three in a row and five of six matches against the European team. The Americans have not been able to call themselves Ryder Cup winners since 1999. It is the hope of golf enthusiasts that the naming of Paul Azinger as captain will help the American team to once again lead in the Ryder Cup games.
5. Tom Lehman -- Ryder Cup
   Two weeks ago, Tom Lehman pledged his support of Larry Nelson as the next United States Ryder Cup captain. "If they ever were to decide to break tradition and go with a guy over 50, I think I'd start with him," Lehman said.
6. Paul Azinger -- Ryder Cup
   There were plenty of big hits -- and big laughs -- at Valhalla in October as Ryder Cup captains Paul Azinger and Nick Faldo took part in the Captain's Celebration in Louisville, Kentucky. more
7. Bernhard Langer -- Ryder Cup
   Bernhard Langer steered the 2004 European Ryder Cup team to a stunning victory on USA soil, Langer's team thrashing the home side to a record 18.5 points to 9.5 points victory. The team were full of praise for their captain, with Ian Poulter describing Langer as 'awesome' and Thomas Levet using every english superlative he could to describe his captain.
8. Nick Faldo -- Ryder Cup
   Six-time Major winner Nick Faldo is hoping a strong outing at the inaugural Volkswagen Masters China at Pine Valley Golf Club this week will kick-start his Ryder Cup bid. The Englishman is harbouring hopes of featuring in his 12th Ryder Cup appearance and is looking for a confidence-builder at the event, the ninth leg of this season's Asian Tour.
9. Stewart Cink -- Ryder Cup
   Cink took down Harrington in the second round of this event in 2007. He's had the Irishman's number in the team formats at the Ryder Cup, too. Today, Cink used three birdies in four holes in the middle of the match to go 2-up and never looked back. He was face Colin Montgomerie in the third round on Friday.
10. Ian Woosnam -- Ryder Cup
    Ian Woosnam disagrees, saying "For me, the Ryder Cup pressure is more. You don't want to let anybody down." Woosnam never won a singles match in his eight Ryder Cup appearances. "When you're playing for yourself, it's only yourself," Woosnam added. "The way to treat a major is to try to treat it like any other tournament. Jack Nicklaus said that everybody was trying so hard they put too much pressure on themselves."
