Ryan Sheckler spent 2006 skating around the world in exotic locales ranging from Australia and Spain to China and Dubai. A high school senior, Ryan Sheckler still needs Mrs. Sheckler to be his “Momager,” the keeper of his schedule, the packer of his bags. But she seems unreconciled with her own authority, as when she lets her son’s friends flirt with her and shares too many of her heartaches.

Sheckler dominated the series, taking the Skate Park crown on the AST Tour this year. Red Bull teammates Daniel Dhers (BMX Park) and Shaun White (Skate Vert) ... took home their respective season titles.

On top of all that, Ryan is still struggling with his parents’ recent divorce and strives to be a father figure to his two younger brothers, Shane and Kane. The divorce has hit the three Sheckler brothers pretty hard, and now that Ryan’s father has a new girlfriend, they are struggling with accepting her into his family. How will they react when their mom starts dating?

With the philosophy “Pay it forward and live each day like it’s your last day on earth,” Sheckler thrives on throwing it down with the best on the planet, letting the weight of his responsibilities roll off his 5’6” frame. When he gets a chance to kick back, he likes to seize the day by riding motocross, surfing, snowboarding, and messing with remote-control cars.

These days Ryan is competing professionally, and doing pretty well for himself. In the last three years he has competed in over 20 competitions and has claimed top spot for half of these, including one in Australia last year!
