Ryan Rodney Reynolds is a Canadian actor born in Vancouver, British Columbia to Jim and Tammy Reynolds. He is the youngest of their four children. Reynolds made his television debut in the Nickelodeon series, Hillside and his film debut starring in Ordinary Magic (1993). Reynolds landed his breakout role on the sitcom Two Guys, a Girl and a Pizza Place. Though the show was only moderately successful, it was the launching pad for a film career which include such films as Van Wilder, The In-Laws, Foolproof, Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle, Blade: Trinity, The Amityville Horror, Smoking Aces, and Fireflies in the Garden.

In 2004, he co-starred in the action/horror flick Blade: Trinity, as Hannibal King. His latest film role sees him playing Monty in the 2005 film Waiting.... Reynolds also went into serious territory, as the main character George Lutz, who eventually goes psychotic in the horror movie The Amityville Horror.
