In "All My Children," which debuted in 1970, Warrick played the grande dame of the fictitious affluent town of Pine Valley. She portrayed the meddlesome and over-the-top personality so believably that her fans often had trouble distinguishing between the stylish actress and her equally sophisticated character.

A high-budget exploitation classic by legendary road-show entrepreneur Kroger Babb, One Too Many stars Ruth Warrick as Helen Mason, a homemaker and former concert pianist who suffers from alcoholism. Her husband Bob (Travis) is a reporter for the local paper, run by a tea-totalling publisher who won't even accept advertisements from establishments which server liquor. Helen goes off the deep end, showing up intoxicated at Bob's office, and nearly killing herself and her daughter when she takes the family car on a drunken joyride. Her love for the bottle ultimately threatens to destroy her health, her husband's career and her family!

Warrick's Grocery became Morisette Grocery. After that is was owned by Frank Madden, and W.C. Herndon, then Thomas Melton, and after his death, his son Phil Melton took it over, then Bear Anderson. As you drive out Eva Road it now goes by the name of Hilltop Quickstop, and is owned by Jerry and Rita Parish. Clara Nell still owns and live in the house next door.

The verbal cat fight scenes between Warrick and Drew are the best part of the film. The people of the village being herded into the mountain caves during air raids; the fight near the end between the invaders and the mountain fighters and villagers, is handled very well.
