One of these much adored "regular guys" is Rusty Wallace. Rusty has been racing in the stock car circuit for over 25 years and has become a real fan favorite amongst NASCAR fans. He paid his dues racing in various local and minor leagues before making the big jump to NASCAR's Winston Cup series, where his #2 Miller Lite Dodge was often a top performer.

[W]hen an identical problem with the right front occurred again on Lap 316, Rusty would not be as fortunate. Forced2 pit under green, he again fell2 laps down to the leader and was running in the 15th spot. Unfortunately for Rusty and his Larry Carter-led team, the fifth caution of the day flew only 10 laps later and trapped the No. 2 team down the full2 laps.
