Rusty Wallace: Busch Series
built 290 days ago
Rusty Wallace has left his mark on the NASCAR world. His 55 series wins puts him eighth on the all-time win list and as the 1989 NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Champion he can easily say that he has conquered all that NASCAR has to offer.
Wallace's most recent undertakings have allowed him to put his immense knowledge and charismatic personality to use even more. In 2006, Wallace was named Lead Auto Racing Analyst for ABC/ESPN. Last season, Wallace honed his broadcasting skills as lead analyst for the networks' coverage of the Indy Racing League, including the Indianapolis 500. In 2007, Wallace will serve as lead analyst as ABC/EXPN makes its long-awaited return to NASCAR coverage. He will be in the broadcast booth for the final 17 NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series races, 30 of 35 Busch Series events and the famed Indianapolis 500.

Wallace, the 1989 Cup champion, joined ESPN upon his 2005 retirement. He was an analyst in 2006 for ESPN's coverage of the IndyCar Series, and moved into the NASCAR booth last season when the network reacquired the television rights for half the season.
"We're going to be a lot better team in 2008," Wallace said. "I want to thank Dodge for all they've done for us, but Chevrolet has been very strong in investing in the Busch Series and we're looking forward to the future with them."

Richard Childress Racing officials say St. Louis native Kenny Wallace will drive the team's Racing's No. 2 Chevrolet in the July 21 Busch Series race at Gateway International Raceway near St. Louis. The No. 2 team is running a part-time schedule with Clint Bowyer this season, and Wallace has focused his efforts on Furniture Row Racing's Nextel Cup team this year.
