The neutral word order in Russian is Subject-Verb-Object. However, other orders are possible. Inflectional endings take care of keeping clear grammatical relations and roles in the sentence. Word order is principally determined by topic (what the sentence is about, or old information) and focus (new information). Constituents with old information precede constituents with new information, or those that carry most emphasis. Here are some examples:

The Russian word for bus station is Avtovokzal (Ahv-tuh-vuhg-ZAHL). Most cities have just one for long distance buses and the state buses depart from there. However, in Moscow and in some other Russian cities, a number of commercial buses are available, and they generally don't depart from the bus station. Quite often, you'll see commercial buses near train stations. Sometimes they run on schedules, though for popular routes (such as Moscow-Vladimir, Moscow/Yaroslavl, etc.) the buses simply wait to fill up. On these buses payment is usually to the driver.

Musicians of the "Russian Carnival" possess equally exceptional skill in playing the instruments of the mandolin ensemble as well. Their magical conversion from domras and balalaikas to mandolin, mandola and guitars brought to life the mandolin group "Rondo" in 1999. "Rondo" mandolin ensemble comprises of Tamara Volskaya (mandolin), Mayya Kalikhman (mandolin and mandola), Nataliya Vsevolodskaya (guitar), Leonid Bruk (bass-guitar) and Anatoly Trofimov(bayan). As a result of the ensemble’s immense efforts, two new programs, "Musical Journey to Russia and Italy" and "From Baroque to Folk" were born. These concerts illustrated a deep connection between the two instruments from the lute family - mandolin and domra.

Drobushki, or Peresek, or Chechetka, - Russian step dance (heel work), always go together with khlapuski (slapping) and ... prisyatki (squat work). All these difficult moves used by dancers to express flirtation, challenge and competition.
