Russell Crowe certainly is the best all round. In every film he’s made he looks, acts and sounds different. So many ‘celeb’ actors are the same in anything they do. Russell is an actor, not a ‘celeb’. And as a father – fantastic. Have you seen him with Charlie?

Russell Crowe can't be over 5ft 9inches because DiCaprio was considerably taller in The Quick and the Dead. Then watch Cinderella Man and see Crowe never has more than an inch over Paul Giamati who has bad posture at 5ft 8in. Don't fall for Crowe's big footwear....he luvs the boots.

While filming Gladiator, Crowe reportedly went to great lengths to avoid speaking with anyone in the cast or crew except while the cameras were rolling. For Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World, everyone on the set was instructed to address him as "Captain". On the set of The Cinderella Man, Crowe reportedly got into a fist-fight with his bodyguard, and bit the man's ear.

Crowe will play Ed Hoffman, the manipulative CIA boss who teams with operative Roger Ferris (DiCaprio) to trap a dangerous Al Qaeda leader by planting a false rumor that the bomber is in cahoots with the Americans. Crowe has been working steadily with Scott since “Gladiator,” teaming on “A Good Year,” the recently completed “American Gangster” and the upcoming “Nottingham,” a Universal and Imagine drama that will go into production early next year.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, actor Craig Bierko (The Thirteenth Floor, The Long Kiss Goodnight) is poised to co-star in director Ron Howard's next film, Cinderella Man. The Universal Pictures/Miramax Films co-venture is toplined by Russell Crowe. Renee Zellweger has long been attached as the female lead but her name hasn't appeared in the recent trade reports about this project.
