At the 2002 outing, thanks to an impromptu jam session, it was decided that the summer of 2003 would mark the return of M&R Rush. With the help of Jim Lenz from Paradise Artists, M&R Rush performed nine dates at summerfests and clubs as they embarked on their "Rock and Roll Chicago Summer Tour 2003". The response was tremendous as performances included shows with Foghat and Jim Peterik of Survivor as well as second generation M&R Rush musicians. Coinciding with the tour, the band released a compilation CD titled "Rock & Roll Chicago". The disk features re-mastered M&R Rush music from vinyl and cassette releases from the 70's and 80's. 2003 ... marked the return of M&R Rush to the airwaves as the CD's title track and the holiday release "Heavy Metal Christmas" received air play in the Chicago Metro area.

tam rush Since then, tam rush has been writing and recording some new materials in a similar vein. These are compiled under the recording session: "walking in her mind". One track from this session is available on the Crossword records compilation 1 and another one on his split single with the Albatross conspiracy on Field records.
A third live album and video, A Show of Hands (1989), was ... released by Mercury following the Power Windows and Hold Your Fire tours, demonstrating the aspects of Rush in the 80s. A Show of Hands met with strong fan approval, but Rolling Stone critic Michael Azerrad dismissed it as "musical muscle" with 1.5 stars, claiming Rush fans viewed their favourite power trio as "the holy trinity".[36] Nevertheless, A Show of Hands managed to surpass the gold album mark, reaching number 21 on the Billboard 200.[37] At this point, the group decided to change record labels from Mercury to Atlantic. After Rush's departure in 1989, Mercury released a double platinum two-volume compilation of their Rush catalogue, Chronicles (1990).[38]
Concerns about the health of the 70-year-old legend of the Chicago blues were first aroused when fellow left-handed Windy City guitarist Carlos Johnson was added to Rush's lineup at the last moment. Although nothing had been said officially, word soon spread on the Japanese 'bluesvine.'
