Prior to the November 2, 2006 Update, the Condition-reducing runes used the icon for a Minor rune, even though they were only found on purple salvage armor. Runes that existed before this date keep the Minor icon and cannot be sold to Rune Traders.

You need to use the correct Talisman with the ruins around RuneScape to be teleported to an Altar to craft your Runes. Check the Talisman and Altar Charts below for more info.

If you accidently place the runes in the incorrect order, the extra effects that the item would have as a rune item will not be present, while you will still have the normal set of effects that those particular runes add. Remember, you cannot take runes, gems, or jewels out of a socketed item once you have placed them in it, so be careful about how you use the more rare runes.
