Profession-specific runes, when inserted into an armor piece, enhances the attribute level of a character wearing that piece of armor. Warriors get an additional type of rune, a Rune of Absorption, that does not enhance an attribute; it instead provides damage reduction. See the long table on the right for images of profession-specific runes.

Different runes range from common to very rare in the rate they appear in the game. Logically, the runes which are less common than others normally have more powerful effects to add, but the usefulness of any rune depends on many factors, and especially the method of slaying your foes you've developed with your character.

These runes grant a 20% reduction in the duration of certain conditions suffered by your character. NOTE: All of these runes are single-potency; they use the Major rune icon, are found in purple salvage armor, and cost 1,000 faction to unlock at a Priest of Balthazar.
