After Ash passed Rudy's attack test, he faced him in a three-on-three battle pitting Pokémon of the same type against each other atop one of the rock pillars that surrounds Trovita Island. Prior to the fight, Rudy asked Misty if she wanted to stay with him after the match, but permitted Misty to decide after the battle was over. Ash lost the first round of the battle- Pikachu versus Electabuzz-, but Bulbasaur won the battle against an Exeggutor by using Sleep Powder on it, causing it to fall off the pillar before Bulbasaur caught it with Vine Whip.

Rudy has opened for many top-name acts, such as Smokey Robinson and Ice Cube to Freddy Fender and Lynyrd Skynyrd. His comedy crosses over to all audiences. Whether it's nightclubs in Las Vegas, or arenas and stadiums in Los Angles, everybody laughs!

In a radio show interview Rudy talks to Rama Fox and Dan Acuff (two motivational speakers and educators) on their radio show Rama and Dan's Conversations With Greatness. The interview is long, but there are some interesting tidbits throughout, at least when Rama and Dan aren't speaking.

Rudy loved to make people laugh. He was a born comedian and could do a wide range of impressions, from John Wayne to Jack Benny. Rudy had a funny punch line for every occasion. He loved movies, often quoting his favorites lines when talking about them.

Dan Devine was upset about the scene in which several players laid down their jerseys on his desk as a form of protest for not letting Rudy suit up for the upcoming Georgia Tech game. According to Devine, that incident never took place and if it had, the players involved would have been booted off the team. more

Bratton had to go. There simply wasn't room for more than one hero in Rudy's city. The next police commissioner was a longtime Giuliani pal named Howard Safir, who was eventually succeeded by that ultimate loyalist, Bernard Kerik.
