This ballpark and adjoining city park play host to most area junior league basball and soccer events. Round Rock takes its name from an unusual flat-topped, round rock in the middle of Bushy Creek, which sits atop the water like a giant lilypad. The rock made a convenient fishing spot for early settlers, and later marked a low water crossing for wagons travelling the Chisholm Trail. The town of Round Rock dates back to 1854. Many buildings from the early days are still used today in the city's Old Town area.
