  8. Raemon Sluiter
    The Dutch player Raemon Sluiter received in October the first wildcard for the 34th ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament. Today he announced that unfortunately he will not be able to compete in the tournament, which will be held from 19th till 25th of February. The 28 years old tennis player from Rotterdam injured himself during the qualifications of the Australian Open. Sluiter, who would have loved to play in Ahoy Rotterdam, said that he is very disappointed not to be able to attend. The organization regrets his cancellation and wishes him a quick recovery. The two remaining wildcards will be appointed just before the tournament by Tournament Director Richard Krajicek.

  10. Eurovision Song Contest -- Junior Eurovision Song Contest
    On September 23, the 14 children, who were selected as winners of the national competition for the forthcoming Junior Eurovision Song Contest (JESC) visited Sighnagi town-museum and Bodbe Monastery of Georgia’s eastern region of Kakheti. Together with authorities of the Georgian Public Broadcasting (GPB) and GPB programs’ hosts, JESC contenders observed the rehabilitation works of Sighnagi. Then they participated in the video shooting of a hymn specially written for them. The shooting took place on a green meadow. The video clip will be aired on GPB in the nearest future.
