The Large Rooms are on the front side of the long wing, again attached to the dining room. Each has an individual porch with views towards Cobble Hill and Stratton Mountain with chairs for your enjoyment. Two of the rooms, Motel 3 & 5 have two double beds, Motel rooms 1 & 7 have a single bed and a double bed in each room. For large parties, two couples traveling together or families who would like their children in a separate, but nearby room, Motel 1 has a connecting door between it and Motel 2, a small room.

Meebo Rooms is an interactive chat room service available to Meebo members and guests alike and was released in early May of 2007. Much of the development of Meebo Rooms was driven by the Meebo user community with users requesting a more enriching group chat experience after Meebo IM chat was launched.

Now through Halloween, "1408 Room & Doom" will pit players against the evil forces of Room 1408. There is only one way to escape: to find the hidden key releasing them from the room. Players will experience eerie flashbacks from scenes from the movie and, if they are unable to outwit the evil room, one of several unpleasant fates. Like in the movie and the Stephen King short story it's based on, a clock counts down the seconds until your untimely death.

A Room of Her Own Foundation (AROHO) was formed in 2000 to provide innovative and practical arts patronage to women. "Regardless of recent gains in awards for women writers, much work remains to be done to advance talented women," says Darlene Chandler Bassett, the founder of the foundation.

Room is excited to announce the winners of the 2007 Annual Fiction and Poetry Contest. First prize was awarded to Pam Calabrese MacLean for poetry and to Amanda Sun for fiction. Winners will be published in issue 31.1, on newstands late in February 2008. See the complete list of winners here.
