ROMS is a primitive-equation model using a coastline- and terrain- following curvilinear coordinate. A detailed model description can be found at http://www.atmos.ucla.edu/cesr/ROMS_page.html. ROMS was designed to be a parallel code, which uses 2D partitioning of the model grid into subdomains that may be assigned to different processors. ROMS can be run on both shared-memory (OpenMP) and distributed memory (MPI) machines. An early version of the OpenMP ROMS code can be found at marine.rutgers.edu/po/. ROMS has been intended to be a multi-purpose, multi-disciplinary oceanic modeling tool.

NDS Patcher by ]{ain is a generic patcher for commercial DS roms that works with any GBA Flash Card. It's limited to roms that are 256Mbit or smaller (with a few exceptions) and usually requires any original DS card with the right save type and size to save. It works with both Flashme and Passme but not Wifime.

ROMs can be copied from the read-only memory chips found in cartridge-based games and many arcade machines using a dedicated device in a process known as dumping. For most common home video game systems, these devices are widely available. Dumping ROMs from arcade machines, which in fact are highly customized PCBs, often requires individual setups for each machine along with a large amount of expertise.
