Roman Abramovich: Fc Chelsea
built 290 days ago
Roman Abramovich The Russian billionaire who owns Chelsea FC, Roman Abramovich is the real-life incarnation of many a fan’s fantasies. The problems with such dreams is that you never quite get what you want, and right now Chelsea are not exactly a dream club. Roman has the funds and Chelsea is definitely a club capable of greatness, so it will be interesting to see how the Abramovich-owned Chelsea fares going forward - can’t do worse than pre-Roman Chelsea, surely.

Roman Abramovich and Sven Goran Eriksson feature size Chelsea's new de facto coach Roman Abramovich got off to a rocky start on Sunday afternoon in the Manchester rain. While his chosen stooge Avram Grant stood on the touchline not doing a lot, Abramovich sat in the stands with a strangely vacant grin on his face, watching his side put in another decidedly tepid performance and lose 2-0. It tends to be quite difficult to know what he is thinking (apart from at Villa Park a few weeks ago), but it would certainly have been interesting to know his thoughts.

In 2003 Roman Abramovich purchased the Chelsea Football Club in the United Kingdom. The acquisition changed the marketing strategies of the game as well as the ability to "purchase" players. Due to Abramovich's personal wealth, he had the ability to build state of the art facilities and offer large salaries to players to join his team regardless of the financial status of the team itself. As a result, other teams have had to redirect wealth in order to keep up.

Roman Abramovich is keen for Chelsea to adopt a more attacking approach but, on the evidence of these average position graphics, there was no great difference between yesterday’s match away to United and the corresponding fixture last season. Up until the point when John Obi Mikel was sent off, Chelsea’s full backs were more advanced (Paulo Ferreira and Ashley Cole) than they had been last November (Geremi and Cole) but the central defenders recorded more defensive positions (John Terry and Tal Ben Haim yesterday; Terry and Ricardo Carvalho last season
Roman "Aardvark" Abramovich is the richest man in the universe and is composed entirely of oil. He is ... a Joo. It is thought his stare is so intimidating that looking in to his eyes will result in convulsions. He was born in Russia in a dingy hotel to a prostitute with syphilis on June 1st 2003. His chemical make-up meant that he immediately became the richest 0 year old ever and he immediately bought Chelsea FC for £1.99. In 2006 he bought the Earth for an undisclosed sum of money and he is thinking of turning it inside out because he feels the crust is too "rank".
Roman Abramovich has been living inconspicuously in London. Sometimes he can be seen in a box at Stamford Bridge stadium watching his FC Chelsea win another game. Russia's richest man publicly behaves like a model law-abiding citizen. By no means he wants to stand out though the press reports now and then on Mr. Abromovich's shopping activities e.g. the purchase of a luxurious yacht, a posh apartment or something similar that can defy imagination of the common people.
