Rod and Dot Taylor attended the annual conference at Chichester for the award of a Fellowship to Rod. This is the fourth Fellowship awarded by the association (others have been awarded to Bob Clements, Maurice Barrett and John Bowden). Dan China and Anne-Marie Quinn spoke of the great debt that all members of the association have for the work that Rod did in inspiring others and redefining the nature of art education. It was noted that Rod Taylor and Drumcroon had been a rite of passage for all advisers and thousands of teachers. In practice Rod's work transformed art education in England and provided the basis for all children to learn about and enjoy art and the work of artists.
