FORT WORTH, Texas — One of the world’s premier graphite shaft manufacturers, United Sports Technologies® (UST) proudly announces that 12-year PGA Tour veteran Rod Pampling has joined the UST Tour Staff. A two-time winner in 2006 with UST graphite shafts, Pampling is playing a Proforce V2 graphite shafts in his TaylorMade R7 460 driver and R7 fairway woods.
Jerry Kelly and Rod Pampling won the Merrill Lynch Shootout on Sunday, beating Justin Leonard and Scott Verplank with a bogey on the first hole of a playoff in the Greg Norman-hosted event. Both teams closed with 13-under 59s in the scramble format to finish at 31-under 185 on the Tiburon Golf Club course.

Topping another Titleist golf ball 1-2-3 sweep, Rod Pampling earned his second career PGA Tour title with a dramatic one shot win at the Bay Hill Invitational. Pampling edged fellow Titleist Pro V1x players Greg Owen and Darren Clarke, who finished second and third respectively on a leaderboard that featured 6 Titleist players among the top 7 finishers. In fact, Titleist was the overwhelming favorite golf ball at Bay Hill with 82 players compared to 12 for the nearest competitor.

Rod Pampling, Führender nach 3 Runden bei der Bay Hill Invitational, schien bereits das Turnier verloren zu haben. Dem Ansturm des Engländers Greg Owen konnte sein Spiel am Finaltag nicht stand halten, zu viele Fehler leistete sich der Australier. Jener am 13. Loch schien die Entscheidung zu bringen: Pampling säbelte seinen Drive meilenweit ins Out, mit dem Doppelbogey fiel er erstmals hinter Owen zurück.

Rod Pampling shot a final round 68 to finish at 7 under par and in a tie for 10th at the EDS Byron Nelson classic. Pampling has been very consistent after spending a few weeks with Gary and continues to improve his hitting and putting stats each week. Gavin Coles ... finished well with a round of 69 moving him into 44th position. Scott Verplank was the eventual winner on 13 under par.
Pampling DUBLIN, Ohio - Rod Pampling had reason to look concerned as his tee shot sailed toward trouble on the right side of the 18th fairway. Given how the rest of his third round had gone Saturday at the Memorial, Pampling had no worries.
