Rockwell Automation will acquire ICS Triplex for £110M ($220M) in cash. ICS Triplex annual revenues are projected to be approximately £70M ($ 140M) for fiscal year ended May 31, 2007. Rockwell Automation expects the transaction to be slightly dilutive to earnings per share in the first full fiscal year and accretive thereafter.

July 3, 2007 -- Rockwell Automation, Inc. announced today that it has acquired Industrial Control Services Group Limited which does business as ICS Triplex. As first announced on May 25, 2007, the deal is valued at GBP 110 million (British pounds) in cash. The process of delivering cash to ICS shareholders will continue through August, 2007.

Rockwell Automation Inc. (ROK) opened at 69.97. So far today, the stock has hit a low of 69.65 and a high of 70.72. ROK is now trading at 70.71, up 1.68 (2.40%). The stock hit its 52 week high of 75.60 in July and set its 52 week low of 53.49 in September. The stock rose between April and June and stabilized around 68.00 for the past month. Retail stocks have been rising today after the Commerce Department reported that July personal income rose 0.5% while consumer spending rose by 0.4%.
The Rockwell Automation drive normally determines the power rating (watts) needed to prevent overheating during braking duty. The peak braking current is determined by the specified resistance value. Each drive specifies a resistance range with a minimum to prevent overcurrent and damage to the drive and a maximum value to give adequate lower dissipation capability.
