Rocco Mediate's back is healthy and so is his game. Mediate shot his lowest score on the PGA Tour in four years, opening the Buick Open on Thursday with an 8-under 64 for a one-stroke lead.

Having turned professional in 1985, Rocco Mediate is a veteran of the PGA Tour. Since then he has claimed four PGA Tour victories and one International win on his way to being ranked in career earnings among the top 25 players in the world.

Rocco Anthony Mediate often known as the Golfer Mediate was born in Pittsburgh, in the suburbs of Greensburgh on December 17, 1962. He attended Florida Southern College later turning out to be a renowned American Golfer by profession since 1985. Though many obstacles had hindered Mediate’s career, still he continues playing golf even at the age of 44 and will continue to play in the near future as he “doesn’t care” anymore which he did in his early career. Rocco first became interested in golf during high school. It was in college that he began to construct his swing, guided by PGA Senior Tour member Jim Ferree and Florida Southern University coach Charlie Matlock.
