Naples resident Rocco Mediate is healthy and competitive. He knew if he could accomplish the first, the second would be a possibility. That was the case on Sunday when he tied for second at the Arnold Palmer Invitational in Orlando.

This year, Mediate is feeling better most of the time and his game has followed suit. Entering this week, the Pennsylvania native has made the cut in seven of his 12 events, with a pair of top-10s, including a second-place finish in the Arnold Palmer Invitational in mid-March.

Mediate started strong at the Buick Open after closing the Memorial with a 65 to help him finish tied for 15th in his previous tournament. He was second at the Arnold Palmer Invitational in March and tied for ninth in mid-February at the Nissan Open, when a friend introduced him to a new physical therapist.
