Veteran driver Robert Pressley has been racing for over 20 years, during which time he has earned multiple track championships and victories in just about every type of car he has driven. Pressley's driving career began on the bullring in Asheville, N.C., where he recorded a string of six consecutive track championships in the 1980s, along with over 150 wins in Late Model cars around the South. Robert competed in the Winston Cup Series from 1995 through 2001. Most recently, he raced in the Craftsman Truck Series driving for Bobby Hamilton Racing in 2005. In 1995, Pressley circled the track behind the wheel of the #33 Skoal Bandit. Ertl captured this very cool scheme featuring the Bandit on the hood in this American Muscle 1/18 scale diecast collectible replica.

Racing professionals like Jeff Gordon, Ray Evernham, Robert Pressley, Gerhard Berger and Jos Verstappen wear racing gear of Nomex® for a variety of reasons: it's lightweight, flexible, breathable and comfortable. Most importantly, though, it's flame-resistant. And that performance benefit, more than any other, helped saved their lives.
